A University of Waterloo student did a great series of blog posts back in June visualizing the data inside DonorsChoose.org.
This chart is just a small taste of some of the insights she provided, but here’s an analysis of words in project descriptions tied to their likelihood of getting funded. There’s some noise in the signal (why is “eric” a bad word to use…?), but I love that “quill” falls dead last, while general art supplies are leaders. DonorsChoose is terrific.
